Crafting is therapeutic for front-line Troops
Today is June 6th, which is of course remembered as the anniversary of D-Day. I’ve found myself thinking more and more lately about what I can do to help show support for the men, women and their families who are brave enough to put their lives on the line protecting our freedom and way of life. In doing some research, I came across this article about how one group sends craft kits overseas:
I love this idea! Stamping and scrapbooking are definitely therapeutic for me, so why wouldn’t they also help our injured military, both physically and mentally? I’m going to ponder how I can expand on this idea and express my gratitude at the same time.
If you have any ideas of how I can reach out to help our servicemen and women, please let me know! (And if you need any help using crafting for your own personal therapy, I’d be happy to help with that, too!)
Where has the time gone???
Somehow or other, my oldest son is graduating today from 8th grade! It’s hard to believe he’ll be in high school in August; it really doesn’t seem like it’s been 14 years since he was born.
I made this card back in March, during Sale-A-Bration, with this day in mind. Even that doesn’t seem like it was almost 2 months ago!
Is it just me, or does it seem like time goes faster the older we get? Post below and let me know what you think…
