“Help! I reinked my inkpad with the wrong reinker! What can I do?”
First, I’d probably cry!
Then, I’d calm down and get down to business. 🙂
The first thing you want to do is use a paper towel to absorb as much of the incorrect color as possible. Try stamping and see how the color looks. Sometimes, if you catch it quickly enough, you can draw the new ink back out and your pad is as good as new.
If you’re still stamping with a muddied color, rinse the inkpad under the faucet until the water runs clear. Let the pad dry, and reink thoroughly with the proper color. You should be good to go.
I’ve also heard from some people that they’ve run the inkpads through the dishwasher (top rack only) WITHOUT detergent. While I haven’t personally tried this, it seems to me that it’s the same concept and should work just fine.
